At Carlsberg, we’re always brewing for a better tomorrow. Make your Reading & Leeds the best yet by following our insider guide and make the most of the weekend you’ve waited all year for…

Location, location, location: This is everything. Get to the festival early if you can and grab the best pitch. Away from the loos (trust us on this one) and not too close to the path everyone will be using all night long. Go a little uphill in case rain turns the site into a swamp and be honest with yourself. If you need at least some shut eye, camp further from the main arena to avoid all-night parties.

Know your colours: Want to chill out after a full day seeing bands at Reading? Pitch your tent in the Brown site for a bit of peace and quiet. Desperate to be at the centre of the action in Leeds? Choose the Blue site for a busy party atmosphere and to be just five minutes’ walk from the main arena or the Yellow Bubble site if you want to hit the Silent Disco.

But remember that green is best: Recycle everything you can using the three-bin system around the festival. It takes no effort but makes a big difference, so everyone around you can have a better festival experience. Unless you like sitting on a mound of used paper plates…

Keep things simple: Do yourself a favour and bring as little as possible. Stuff an empty pillowcase with clothes instead of carrying a pillow. Ditch toiletries in bottles for a bumper pack of (biodegradable) wet wipes. And don’t even think about lugging in a box of beer. Pre-order cold cans of Carlsberg here and relax, knowing your first drink is already waiting for you.
