Latitude revellers already know that Carlsberg’s Danish Quarter is the place to be at the festival. After discovering the Danish way in years gone by, savvy festival-goers realise our little corner of Copenhagen is the ideal spot to rest tired festival legs, catch up with friends and enjoy a cold pint of Carlsberg between bands.

But this year, the Danish Quarter got even better thanks to hotly tipped singer-songwriter Billy Lockett. Arriving at Latitude fresh from the success of a sold-out UK tour and his single ‘Every Time You’re High’, the Danish Quarter came to a standstill when Billy took to the stage. Perched behind his keyboard, his intimate set of heart-warming ballads showed just why Billy has found himself on the brink of mainstream mania this year.

Festival-goers couldn’t believe their luck at stumbling upon an intimate performance from the man of the moment, who admitted he had always wanted to play Latitude. His wish came true in the Carlsberg Danish Quarter in July, with a show that neither he – nor the small, lucky audience – will ever forget.

“Genuinely one of the best shows I’ve done this whole summer,” he marvelled later, bowled over by the incredible reaction from the audience. “Everyone keeps saying this is my year but I actually think I believe everyone now.”
