No one likes to admit they’re wrong. But at Carlsberg, we think it’s time. We’ve listened to our critics, looked again with fresh eyes and realised Carlsberg was probably not the best beer in the world any more. And we Danes believe a change can always be made for the better. So we’ve started again and completely rebrewed our beer from head to hop to create a crisper, fuller Danish Pilsner for your drinking pleasure. At this summer’s festivals, we’re proud to say you can taste our new brew for yourselves. Why not check out these up and coming acts at the same time? Because a better beer deserves only the best new music.

Art School Girlfriend

Get ready for something seriously beautiful when Wrexham’s Art School Girlfriend – aka Polly Mackey – brings her bleak but beautiful mix of electronica, guitars and poetry to the festival stage. Fans of The XX and PJ Harvey will love the stark atmospherics and haunting melodies.

Flohio

Born in Nigeria and raised in South London, Flohio – aka Funmi Ohiosumah – is one of the most hotly tipped new talents on the UK rap scene. Already renowned for thrilling live shows, her quickfire delivery, fast-paced energy and powerful electronic instrumentation has made her a name you need to know this year.

Billy Lockett

After touring with Lewis Capaldi and Electric Light Orchestra, Northampton’s Billy Lockett is now poised to release his much-anticipated debut album which he says he’s been writing for 25 years. Making gorgeous, devastatingly intimate folk-pop with a twist, he is set to charm Latitude in July.

The Teskey Brothers

Coming to Latitude all the way from their hometown of Melbourne, four piece The Teskey Brothers – fronted by the two brothers themselves – add a modern husky passion to the classic Motown blueprint of greats like Otis Redding and Marvin Gaye.

Samm Henshaw

Combining his background in gospel with classic pop and hip-hop influences, Samm Henshaw has already been voted one of YouTube Music Ones To Watch and counts the mighty Pharrell as a fan. With his feel-good tunes and soulful voice, it’s only a matter of time before the rest of the world falls for him too.
